  Watching a Maiden
 -------------------

Drop, drop,
The dew falls from leaves,
Drip, drip, drip,
It lands in her hair,
And in the water,
Where her arm is stretched,
Toward the sandy floor
And sleeping pebbles.
Drip, drop.
She giggles, feeling little fish,
Fins and flippers,
Dancing through
Her fingers.
Her eyes shine with a softness,
Like the moonlight.
