   Morning Bird Song
 -------------------
Sky turned pink by the sun rise,
And as that glowing light orb lifts,
I want to take to the bright skies.
But first I want to chirp about,
The wonders I saw in my dreams.
I wasn't awakened by horrors and fears,
Last night was beauty it seems.
Ah, friend, you had a nightmare,
Of a cat so large with sharp claws,
Your wing was hurt, you only hopped,
And you still feel the wrath of its paws.
I hear my sister had a dream,
Of flying forever in smoke,
Crunched together, unable to breathe,
Finally falling, before her bones broke.

I'm so sorry for your dreadful night,
And the fact that my eyes aren't wetter,
I'm always here to listen to you,
Or would a tale of my night be better?

I fluttered through a paradise,
With no tall buildings in my way,
The smog was gone, the clouds were white,
And the sky was too blue not to play.

And it was that perfect time between,
The seasons of flower and seed,
The plants around me were beautiful,
But we all had plenty to eat.

You were all there, but the cats were not,
They had plenty to eat down bellow,
And all the feathered friends fly safe,
Eagle with dove and sparrow.

You tell me this never could happen,
Don't chirp since there's food to retrieve,
You can go find a cat and be eaten,
But I've got something else to believe.
